Ardmore Airport is located in South Auckland.
Approximately 20% of the country’s population live within 30 minutes of the facility.
Our proximity to Auckland and the facilities offered here give aviation enthusiasts, newcomers to the industry and the public in general a chance to enjoy Ardmore’s open days, events and beautiful scenery. As a training centre for the aviation industry, Ardmore is second to none, with approximately 50% of all New Zealand pilots undergoing training here. Currently four major fixed wing flying schools and two helicopter schools operate out of Ardmore.
The Airport operates 24 hours per day, with pilot activated runway lighting available after dark. The Unicom Tower Operations are available between 8am and 6pm daily.
